Good evening all and welcome to ‘A Tip for Tuesday’, a short post with helpful hints to help improve your English.
To start off with, when you see a new word you like (in a book, a newspaper article or even on The English Garden’s ‘A word for Wednesday’ post) adopt it make it your own.
The first step in the process is to write it down somewhere, a small notebook perhaps.
If you saw it in a sentence you can copy it in full so that you have the word in context.
If you wish to, you can also add a definition or translation.
But remember, like all things you may wish to adopt, words also need looking after, so more on how to take care of the word and make it your own in next week’s ‘A Tip for Tuesday‘.
