The Friday Phrase

Fabulous idioms for Friday afternoon

Keeping with the Valentine’s theme this week, today’s idiom definition is for ‘labour of love‘.

A labour of love is a project or task done for the interest or pleasure in doing it rather than the reward, financial or otherwise.

So have a great weekend everyone and we’ll be back on Monday with some more of our very own labour of love, aka The English Gardener’s Tips.

    • Hi Sara and thank you for your query.

In reply to your question, indeed, ‘labour of love’ can be used to refer one’s hobby.

And whatever your labour of love might be, I hope it’s not exploring wells, as that can be quite dangerous I’ve heard… 🙂

Have a great weekend and see you next week!
